Eleanor B. MarksHamilton-Eleanor B Marks, 71, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018, Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, with her beloved family at her side.She was born on November 26, 1946, the daughter of the late Chester and Alice Wolverton Wolicki. Eleanor grew up in Eaton and went to Morrisville High School. On August 20, 1966, in Munnsville, Eleanor married Wayne S. Marks. Their loving union lasted over 47 years, until Wayne's passing in 2014. Eleanor had been employed over 31 years at Colgate University in the Custodian Department. Wayne and Eleanor had lived in West Eaton for over 40 years, and Eleanor's talent for always having beautiful flower beds that were truly a spectacle of beauty for all those who drove by the home. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking. She doted on her beloved granddaughter, Cassie. Eleanor was also known as "Mom" by many others, because of her caring and loving nature, putting others before herself. Eleanor touched many people in her life, and will be deeply missed by all, especially, by her son, Brian Marks, and his wife Sue, of Hamilton; her cherished granddaughter, Cassondra "Cassie" Marks; her siblings; Chester "Butch" Wolicki of Cache, OK, her sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna and Garel Sternburg of Eaton, and Kathleen and Donald Smith, of Florida, and her sisters Amelia Wolicki and Julia Wooten, both of Eaton; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Wolicki, also of West Eaton. Eleanor also leaves behind "a boat load" of nieces, nephews, and very dear friends.She was predeceased by her parents, Chester and Alice; her beloved husband Wayne, and her five brothers: Henry, Robert, Walter, Carl, and Francis.Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, April 20 from 4-6 PM at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. Graveside funeral services will be private in West Eaton Cemetery.Donations may be made in Eleanor's memory to either the Hamilton Fire Department or SOMAC Ambulance of Hamilton.
