Dorothy M. Wood

Dorothy M. Wood, 84, of Bouckville, died in Bedford, New Hampshire on July 12, 2025.

She was born in Bouckville, on August 26, 1940, the daughter of the late Harry and Ruth Dahn Wood. Dorothy was raised in Bouckville, and grew up help helping work on the family farm. Dorothy attended Madison Central School until graduating in 1959.  Following high school, Dorothy joined the Navy to see the world and further her education.

Dorothy is preceded in death by both her parents, Harry and Ruth; a brother Fred Wood; and a sister Margaret Wood.

She is survived by a sister Viola Wood Neff of Madison; her daughters, Diane Hauser of Eugene, OR, and Donna Hauser Sherlock of Lakeland, FL. Dorothy is also survived by four grandchildren, three nieces and a nephew.  

Graveside service with military honors will be held on August 26, 2025 at 2 PM in the Madison Village Cemetery.
