Dorothy A. JonesDorothy A. Jones, 96, of Unadilla Forks went to be with our Lord on 1/15/21. She was at home with family by her side. She was a current patient of Hospice and Palliative Care.Dorothy was born in West Edmeston, NY on March 15, 1924 to Edward and Margaret Tarbell McNamara. Dorothy graduated from Leonardsville Central School in 1941. She attended Palmer Beauty School and worked as a beautician for a short time. During WW II, she worked as a riveter on B-17's in Seattle, Washington for Boeing Aircraft. Other jobs included waitress, General Electric radio assembler, store clerk, and homemaker. She married Kermit Jones on 9/5/1953 and they were married until his death in 1986. Dorothy was loving, kind and fiercely devoted to family, both immediate and extended. She was known to many as Aunt Dot and Grammy. She was an avid bird watcher for most of her life. Dorothy was well known for her delicious pies and cookies.Dorothy leaves behind her beloved son Clyde (Cork) Roberts and his wife Pattie, Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren Douglas Roberts and his fiancé Karlene, Manlius, NY; Mary Belleville, Cape Vincent, NY; Eric Young and wife Jenn, York PA; Ryan Young, Mechanicsburg, PA. Great grandchildren include Brandon Belleville, Camp Lejeune NC, Jacob and Justin Roberts, Manlius NY, Mya and Jackson Young, PA. She also leaves behind many special nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by all 5 of her siblings: Edward McNamara, Anne McNamara Gregory, Ruth McNamara Johnson, George McNamara, and James McNamara.At this time, there will not be services. A celebration of life ceremony will take place at a later date.
