Doris F. HillHamilton-Doris F. Hill, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2018, while her loving husband was at her side, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.She was born on November 11, 1949, in Moore County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late John Ralph and Waltraut Kathe Schliessmann Nall. While in high school, and in a chance encounter, Doris met Richard R. Hill, Sr., an army soldier stationed at Fort Bragg. They both knew that they belonged together and married on June 24, 1967. In their amazing journey thru life, they were blessed with four grandchildren, went on many trips, enjoyed numerous family gatherings, and lived a life of happiness. Doris was known as an avid gardener, a fantastic cook and talented crafter. She was also known to all that knew her, to have a "gifted touch," when it came to scratch off lottery tickets. Just about anywhere or anytime, she was willing, ready, and able to play, for the thrill of it. But most of all, she will be remembered for her loving and caring nature as Butch's wife, mom, grandma, and friend to many.Her family mourns Doris's passing, and she is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Richard R. "Butch" Hill, Sr.; her children Richard R. Hill, Jr., Patrick Hill, and his wife, Diane, along with their children Madelyn and Natalie; Jessica Bokenkamp, and her husband, Jacob, along with their children, Michelle and Sydney, and Doris's youngest son, Kyle Hill; her brothers and sisters; Virginia (Rick) Hildreth, Patricia A. Nall, and her companion, James Lambert, Cynthia K. Nall; and a sister in-law, Rose Nall. Doris is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.She was predeceased by her parents, John Ralph and Waltraut Kathe Nall, her brother Walter Nall, and brothers and sisters-in-law, John Jr. and Nancy Nall, and Robert and Barbara Nall.Services for Doris will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM, at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. Interment will be in Smith Valley Cemetery at a later date. Doris's visitation will be on Saturday, from Noon to 2:00 PM, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
