David Kevin Bugbee
North Brookfield- David “Kevin” Bugbee, 72, passed away peacefully at his home with the love and support of his wife and children at his side on November 1, 2025.
Affectionally known by everybody who loved him as Kevin, he was born on January 19, 1953, in Utica, the son of the late Everett Bugbee and Josephine Furner Bugbee. Kevin grew up in North Brookfield and was a graduate of Brookfield Central School. On July 7, 1973, he was united in marriage to Pamela Jennings at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church in Waterville. Kevin was a people person; he made his career as a customer service representative in the lumber and building industry. He started his career at Morgan’s Hardware before moving to Wickes Lumber which merged into Webb and Son Lumber, finally retiring from Curtis Lumber. Kevin was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the former St. Mary’s Catholic Church of North Brookfield. Kevin supported his community by serving numerous years in the North Brookfield Fire Department. He leaves behind a legacy of his love of family, his commitment to his community, and a special personality that made even a stranger leave as a friend. His passing will be mourned by all that love him.
Kevin was an avid woodworker. He built furniture his entire adult life, mostly during the winter months along with Pam who always applied the finish, making each piece a team effort. Spring was the start of baseball where Kevin coached the kids of North Brookfield for almost two decades. Following his children and grandchildren’s sports schedules throughout the years brought him and Pam great joy. Summertime gardening, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, bullhead fishing in the swamp, and camping with the entire crew at Raquette Lake were other highlights for Kevin throughout his life. He enjoyed many laughs around the card table playing pitch with friends and family.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years Pam; his beloved sons Gerald (Sarah) Bugbee of North Brookfield; Gregory (Lisa) Bugbee of Atlanta, NY; Scott (Amanda) Bugbee of North Brookfield; Eric (Tara) Bugbee of North Brookfield; His siblings, Vera Schactler (Leon Slate) of Oriskany Falls, Stephen (Maryanne) Bugbee of North Brookfield; his cherished grandchildren Corey Plows (Lindsay), Colin (Haley), Tristen, Jenna (Gabe Irwin), Mackenzie, Thatcher, Alexandra, and Gwen.
