David C. Brown, 49, of Madison, New York, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, May 2, 2016, at the Community Memorial Hospital.David was born on Boldmanville, Ontario, Canada, on July 11, 1966, the son of Gordon DC and Catherine Brown. David was larger than life. He touched everyone who knew him, and his absence will be felt in a great many hearts. He loved his family, above all. David's first thought of the day was wondering how his family was doing. He was selfless and only saw the good in people, always offering himself to them. David loved camping, fishing, motorcycles, playing guitar, and fixing broken things, both people and machines. He was an avid joker who would often dress to impress, at work or just to get a laugh. David was a very colorful and outspoken man. He held a Pastry Chef degree and loved cooking for his family and friends. He was a cat whisperer, but held true affection for most animals. He met his wife, Heidi, on the video game, World of Warcraft, which they played together, until his death. David was the best friend that a husband could be. There will never be another person like him and he will be so dearly missed.David leaves behind his wife of 7 years, Heidi Windhausen Brown; his mother, Catherine Payne Brown; step-father, Eldred Payne; a daughter, Tara Van Boekel; a step daughter, Ashley O'Herien; a brother, James and a sister, Christine. He also leaves behind his second parents, Edward and Mary Skinner; step children, Brooke, Brett and Mark Windhausen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Amy, Heather, Dan and Richard. David also leaves behind his granddaughter, Lily; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his Hourglass family, neighbors, Phil and Theresa Bikowski and many friends. David knew how much we loved him and he would return that love to us. David was predeceased by his father, Gordon D.C. Fields in 2008.The Windhausen and Brown Payne families would like to thank everyone who loved David and for all the love, concern and support that you have shown to all of us.Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Madison Village Cemetery, with the Rev.
