David T. CrandallBrookfield-David T. Crandall, 61, passed away peacefully, on Monday, February 29, 2016, the Siegenthaler Center, following a courageous battle against cancer.He was born on September 12, 1954, in Hamilton, the son of Joseph and Mary Trainer Crandall. Dave was raised in New Hartford, and graduated from New Hartford High School. He had served many years as a fireman for the New Hartford Fire Department. In 1985 he met the love of his life, Cynthia Getman. He moved to Brookfield in 1988, and in 1989 he married Cynthia. An avid hunter, he enjoyed the wooded areas not only for hunting, but for all the beauty that nature provided. Dave had served as Codes Enforcement Officer for the Village of Waterville, the Town of Brookfield, and the Town of Bridgewater. He had previously worked as a union carpenter. David had served as President of the Brookfield Fire Department and was an Honorary Fireman.David is survived by his beloved and cherish wife of 31 years, Cyn; his father, Joe; his children, D.J., Beth, Amy, Alicia, Richard, Katrina; his brothers, Joe, Jr. and Bill; a sister, Ann; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.In keeping with David's wishes, committal services will be held in the Spring. Funeral arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Jeffrey T.
