Clesson M. SmithMunnnsville-Surrounded by family, Clesson Myron Smith finished his life's journey on March 12, 2016. Clesson lived his 84 years to its fullest.First-born son of Donald and Lena Wright Smith, Clesson's childhood, with his sister Marlyn and brothers Dick and Donnie, was one of an active young farm boy, learning the trade of his father in daily chores. At the age of 19, Clesson left the security of the sleepy Munnsville farming community to enlist in the United State Air Force. While stationed in England, he met and married his young wife, Bernice Levitt, before returning to Munnsville to purchase his own farm. For thirty-five years, his adult life was dictated by the rhythms of the seasons, the bounty and famine of farming life.Clesson leaves a treasure of memories with his extensive family. He is survived by his sister, Marlyn Smith Fuess and her husband, Norman, and sisters-in-law, Patricia Smith and Mary Smith; his children, Myron and Kristin Smith, Sharon Jones, Melanie (Smith) and Roger Brouillette, Sheila (Smith) and Stephen McAdams, Michael and Donna Smith, and David Smith; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.Services will be held at the Paul Funeral Home, Madison on Friday, March 18th.
