Cary P. "Bear" ShaugerMadison-Cary P. "Bear" Shauger, 52, passed away on Sunday. December 20, 2020 at his home. Bear was born on September 7, 1968 in Hamilton the son of the late Jeanette Boratyn Shauger. He graduated from Madison High School Class of 1987. He worked at Ferris Industries as a Fork Lift Operator. Previously he had worked for Henderson Johnson and Clinton Moving. Knowing Bear was having a life-long friend. He was always there for everyone. He was known to work hard and play ever harder. He always enjoyed the great outdoors especially hunting. He was of the Catholic Faith. Bear lived his life on his own terms, and the time of his passing, his family celebrates the life he lived.Bear leaves behind his sister Jolee (Tim) Hodge; his brother Keith (Denise) Rifenburg; his nieces: Dylanne Hodge, Destiney LaBarge and Felicia Selan; his nephew Alex Rifenburg; his aunt and uncle Mary and Jerry Hewitt; his uncle David and Judy Boratyn; and numerous cousins. Bear is also survived by all he shared his life with, the memories of all the good times and of his friendship will live on.He was predeceased by his mother Jeanette, his grand parents John and Lucy Boratyn, and his uncle, Butch Boratyn.Private funeral services will be held on at the convenience of the family. Spring Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Oriskany Falls. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
