Carol Ann Pasiak Loomis
Carol Ann Pasiak Loomis, born on March 6, 1952, passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2024. Carol was a cherished wife, daughter, sister, aunt, mother, stepmother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived well, loved unconditionally, worked hard, and valued life to the fullest. She found immense joy in her family, friends, garden, and animals, and especially treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Carol's greatest passions were her grandchildren, her horses, cats, and tending to her barn, known as the Dark Horse Farm. She also enjoyed spending countless hours at Saddleback Farm in Hamilton. She took great pride in her beautiful flowers and gardens. She was a member of the Wellness Center in Hamilton and recently enjoyed attending yoga classes. Carol possessed remarkable inner strength, determination, and fortitude. She maintained a positive attitude and taught us through her example how to face adversity, offer empathy, and support others compassionately. She was wise, clever, witty, creative, efficient, resourceful, generous, welcoming, and always encouraging and helpful. Carol married Bruce Pierce on August 30, 2003. Carol and Bruce enjoyed living at the Lake House on Lake Moraine, where they created many beautiful memories. Bruce was not only her loving husband but also her steadfast partner in all her endeavors. Together, they were active members of the Oriskany Falls Rotary Club, where Carol served as President, of the Rotary club through their volunteerism they contributed significantly to their community. Carol was previously married to Harry Loomis (February 6, 1971) and they shared many wonderful years together. Carol was Valedictorian of her class at Madison Central School and graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Morrisville earning an Associate’s Degree in Journalism. Throughout her career, she worked at Vantine Studios, Colgate University, Best Brands, and Turning Stone Casino. She retired from Pierce Auto Parts with Bruce. Her professional journey was marked by dedication and excellence. Carol was the daughter of Anthony and Helen Pasiak. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister-in-law, Mary, and nephew Johnny Pasiak. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bruce Pierce; her children, Sheila (Joe) Nassimos and Craig (Marcia) Loomis of Madison, New York; her stepchildren, Crystal (Chris) Jadwick and Paula Ford; her siblings, Lewis Pasiak of Sherrill, New York, John Pasiak of Hernando, Florida, and Patty Pasiak and her husband Joe Sanicola of Frederick, Maryland. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dillon Loomis-Head, Brooke Nassimos, Noah Nassimos, Pierce and Jackson Ford, Amanie and Christianna Jadwick, and her great-grandson Weston, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Carol enjoyed numerous international and domestic trips with Bruce, creating cherished memories that spanned the globe. She loved cruises with her family and trips to Florida. Her dear friends, Lynn Hughes and Diane Hayduke English, shared many laughs on girls' trips and never missed a birthday celebration. Carol also enjoyed a special friendship with Marge from Mulberry, Florida as they shared a common passion for horses. Carol's warmth and kindness touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed, always loved, and forever remembered. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the compassionate, personal, and professional care of Paul Funeral Home in Madison, New York. Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, June 9th, from 10 am to 12 pm. Following the visitation, friends and family are invited to a celebration of life at Mitchell Point, Lake Moraine, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations to the Oriskany Falls Rotary Club or to the Madison Fire Department.
