C. Frederick “Fred” Borden
Oriskany Falls-Clinton Frederick “Fred” Borden, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 6, 1947, in Daytona Beach, FL, the son of the late Charles and Margaret Humphreys Bordon. He was raised in Daytona Beach and attended its local school. He late enlisted in the Army and served his country from 1964-1967. Fred had worked numerous years for the Grace Church of Utica. He was a Food Service Manager for the church’s Soup Kitchen. He was devoted to those that were less fortunate, and treated all as family. He deeply loved his companion and caregiver of 25 years, Penny, his granddaughter Amanda, and his great-granddaughter Ivy.
Fred is survived by his companion and soulmate, Penny McCloud of Oriskany Falls; his cherished granddaughter and great granddaughter Amanda and Ivy “Baby Girl” Cameron both of Deansboro; his children, Michelle Jarvis, Stephanie Schulz, Clinton Borden-Price, and Celeste “Scooter” Borden-Price, of Florida; a nephew Jason Borden; his sister Sandy Borden and his brother Charles Borden, all of Florida. Fred is also survived by Penny’s family, close friends, and his “Soup Kitchen” family.
He was predeceased by both his parents Charles and Margaret.
