Hamilton, NY
Bryan Adam Griffin, 39, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, with the love and support of his family at his side, at University Upstate Hospital, Syracuse. With a generous spirit, Bryan had registered as an organ donor, so his passing brought the renewed possibility of life to several others waiting for an organ, including a heart. Knowing that his heart will beat on in another brings needed solace to his family.
Bryan was born on December 5, 1983, in Arcadia, FL to Harris and Vicki Griffin. In 1993, his family relocated to Hamilton, where he attended Hamilton High School and graduated in 2002. Bryan held a passion and love for motorcycles, inspiring him to relocate to Orlando, FL to attend the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute. He received extensive training in motorcycle repair and obtained numerous repair certifications, including the coveted Ducati specialist certification. Due to his qualifications, Bryan was in high demand as a tech, enabling him to hone his skills all over the southeast.
Bryan loved his family and often returned to New York to be with them. He would always make the visit memorable. He loved serving as grill master and would prepare wonderful meals for his family on the back yard grill. He also loved being on the water – whether boating, paddle boarding, or wakeboarding – and enjoyed fishing with his dad and brother. Bryan had a passion for dogs, counting them among family, especially his most loving and loyal companion Ace, whom he raised from a puppy. Bryan was known by many as a gentle giant, as his large stature belied an immeasurably kind and generous heart, and his love for family and friends had no boundaries.
Bryan is survived by his parents, Harris and Vicki Griffin of Hamilton; his brother and sister-in-law, Harris Lee and Margaret Shannon Griffin of Eliot, ME; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Darlene Harris of South Hamilton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bryan is also survived by numerous friends that he made as he traveled the highway of life.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 3 PM, at the East Hamilton Methodist Church, with the Rev Thomas M. VanHatten, Pastor officiating and Pastor Clarence Hafelin, also officiating. There will be a visitation at the church from 2-3 PM, prior to the service. Interment services will be private and at a later date in Graham Cemetery. Following the funeral service, Bryan's family will be receiving relatives and friends in the church's fellowship hall. Personal and professional care is being provided to Bryan and his family by Jeffrey T. Paul, Director of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
