Brian C. JohnsonSherburne-Brian C. Johnson, 45, died on Mother's Day, May 9, 2021, a day shy of his 46th birthday, as a result of a motorcycle accident.He was born in Gainesville, FL, on May 10, 1975, the son Charles "Butch" and Helen Wheeler Johnson. Brian grew up in Sherburne and attended Sherburne High School. Brian was mechanically minded, and could fix anything with a motor. Since the age of 16, he had worked on and off at the Hamilton Auto Clinic. He had also worked summers paving for Skoglund Paving Company. For the last three years, Brian has worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Dekatherm Construction Corporation. Brian enjoyed a very close relationship with his father, Butch. Together, they were a team, whether it was buying or selling anything, racing stock cars, building hot rods, and the many other adventures they had together. After Butch's passing in 2009, Brian was always there to care for his mother, no matter the need. He was also a devoted father, and especially cared for his grandchildren Chase, Addison and Troy. Brian was "larger than life," and he made each day count in his life. A great family man and friend to many, he will be deeply missed by all.Brian leaves behind his daughters, Shawna (Howard) Straight of Georgetown and Summer Johnson of Sherburne; his beloved mother Helen Johnson of Sherburne; his beloved grandchildren: Chase, Addison and Troy; his companion Deana Johnson, and daughter, Kimberly Johnson both of Sherburne. He is also survived by numerous, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and close friends.He was predeceased by his father, Charles "Butch" Johnson in 2009.Brian's family will come together privately to honor and celebrate his life. There will be no public visitation or service. Interment will be made in North Norwich Cemetery. Brian's family have entrusted their care to the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
