Barbara A. Wisnoski
Hamilton-Barbara A. Wisnoski, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Community Memorial Hospital, with her loving family at her side, following a brief illness.
She was born in Hempstead, New York, on March 1, 1948, the daughter of the late Robert C. and Ruth Snyder Freer. Barb’s dad was a career Air Force member and she had been raised in several different parts of the world. She was a graduate of Saugerties High School in New York. She furthered her education by earning her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse or LPN. In Kingston, New York, on June 22, 1968, Barb married the love of her life, Leon “Lee” Wisnoski. Their loving union lasted 38 years until, Lee’s passing in 2006. She made her nursing career at Community Memorial Hospital, and also had worked as a private duty nurse. Barb was very active in support of the Hamilton Community. She had been a 4-H leader, and worked at the Colgate Ski Hill in support of the local youth where she was affectionately known as “Mom W” by many. Barb also was a founding member and a former Deputy Chief of SOMAC Ambulance. Barb leaves a legacy of love and caring for those of the Hamilton Community. Her love and devotion to her family is the legacy that will always be with her children and grandchildren.
Barb is survived by her two beloved sons and their spouses, Chris and Hannah Wisnoski, and their children: Zach, Rob, Hollis, and Ansel; Mike and Elissa Wisnoski, and their children: Shelby, Anthony, Michael, Letisha, and Derrick. She also leaves behind her cherished great grandson Cyrus.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lee, and her parents Robert and Ruth.
Barb and her family are being provided personal care by Jeffrey T. Paul, Director, of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. Her interment will be made at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Clayville, with her immediate family present. There will be no public visitation.
