Barbara A. Burdick CareyBrookfield-Barbara A. Burdick Carey, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, with the love and support of her son, Brian, and daughter-in-law, Kelly, shortly following admission to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.She was born on January 27, 1946, at the new Berlin Hospital, the daughter of the late Fay and Evelyn Chesebro Burdick. Barb was a longtime Brookfield resident and had attend Brookfield High School. She was happy and content stay at home mom. She was a devoted mother raising her ten children and grandchildren with all the love and support a mother could give. In later years, did travel and stay with her son Brian, in South Carolina, and her son David in Alaska. Barb had enjoyed these trips that held such fond memories. She loved to do cross word puzzles, watching the television show NCIS, and knew every John Wayne movie by heart. She had a love of cactus plants and had several in the home. Most of all, she was mom, the most important person in her children's lives. Her family deeply mourns her passing.Barb is survived by her children: Brian (Kelly) Laraby of Brookfield, Lynn (Lulu) Laraby of Brookfield, Wanda Laraby of Waterville, Monica Porter of Boonville, Chris (Karl) Chesebro of Brookfield, Connie (Randy) Sturtevant of West Lyden, Floyd Maine of Junction City, KS, Floyd's former wife Brandy, David (Sandy) Maine of Evans Mills, and Mandy Maine of Ava; her brother Carl Burdick of Brookfield. Barb's numerous beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two special grandchildren, Bailey (Mike) Bertella and Morgan Laraby; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Fay and Evelyn; her two husbands, Lynn J. Laraby II, and Stewart Maine, her beloved son Glen Laraby, and her sisters Loraine and Elsie McIntyre. In keeping with Barb's wishes, her family will come together to honor her privately. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be in West Winfield Cemetery.
