Amelia A. Wolicki
Eaton-Amelia A. Wolicki, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Crouse Hospital with her loved ones at her side.
Amelia was born on May 9, 1944, in Oneida, the daughter of the late Chester and Alice Wolverton Wolicki. She was one of eleven children and was raised in the Georgetown and Lebanon Community. She had attended Georgetown High School. At an early age, Amelia left school to enter the work force, and help support her family. She had worked in the electronics field her whole working career. Amelia had spent 38 years at working at the former Magnavox. Phillips, and C Cor in Manilus. She later went on to work numerous years at Die Electric in Cazenovia. Amelia spent many years in the position of Team Leader at both companies. Since her childhood, Amelia was a born loving caregiver to her family. Although she never married, she was always there for her siblings, and regarded all her nieces and nephews as her own children. Amelia was also a devoted daughter, who was her parents’ caregiver until they passed. Mickey, her fur baby beagle had “Heaven on Earth” with Amelia’s love. She was a proud lung cancer survivor for over five years. Her legacy, of her loving and caring nature leaves behind a “shinning” example of how life should be lived.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Anna and Garel Sternburg of Eaton; a brother Chester “Butch” Wolicki of Cache, OK; and a sister-in-law Barbara Wolicki of Manlius. Amelia is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Amelia was predeceased by her parents Chester and Allice; her siblings: Henry, Bobby, Walter, Carl, Francis, Eleanor, Kathleen, and Julia. She was also predeceased by her beloved Mickey.
Her funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 2PM, at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. Interment will be made in Eaton Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral on Sunday from Noon until 2 PM. Compassionate and personal care is being provided to Amelia and her family by Jeffrey T.
