Amanda S. Taylor
Madison-Amanda S. Taylor, 63, a life resident, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
She was born on March 15, 1959, in Oneida, the daughter of Harold and Mary King Howlett. Amanda was a graduate of Morrisville High School. She was united in marriage in 1976 to Dennis Taylor. For the last 46 years, she was deeply involved in the family business, the Madison Auction House. She was a professional appraiser of antiques and household sales. Amanda was a natural at the art of buying and selling just about anything. In her spare time, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed just about any game that she could play with Owen. Amanda was also an avid reader.
Amanda’s family mourns her sudden passing; they include her husband, soul mate and business partner, Dennis Taylor; her children and their spouses, Derick and Maggie Taylor of Eaton, and Lindsey and Drew Deland of Madison; her cherished grandchildren Harlee Taylor and Owen Winn; her father and step mother Harold and Josie Howlett of Leland’s Pond; her siblings: Kathleen Howlett of Pompano Beach, FL; Peggy Whipple of TN; Debra Reichert of Eatonville, WA; Virginia and Doug Hoyt of Canastota; Peter and Beverly Howlett of Croghan; and John Howlett of Kernersville, NC. Several nieces and nephews also survive Amanda.
She was predeceased by her mother Mary F. Howlett in July of 2000.
